About UsKingston IFA Ltd was originally formed by Mandy Caunt in April 2000 and run by herself and her husband, Sam.  During 2005 and 2006 through acquisition and merging, the present personnel and set-up of the financial planning side of the business was established when Gary Starmer joined Mandy and became a shareholder in, and a director of, Kingston IFA Limited.  At the same time a separate company, Personal Tax Management Ltd, was also set up with John Blakey and Gary Starmer as directors and the present staff who continued to give taxation advice separately from, but in conjunction with, the financial planning side.  In the summer of 2008, in order to streamline the business and give clients a more joined up service, the two companies were merged to form the current company, Kingston PTM Ltd.  Kingston IFA and Personal Tax Management continue as trading names of this company, although the managing structure has merged together. 

Kingston PTM Ltd now has two offices, one in Northampton and the other in Ferndown, Dorset. The company has five fully qualified Financial Advisers, five Taxation Advisers and seven other full and part time members which includes our Company Secretary Sam Caunt. 

We are able to provide a full Financial Planning and Taxation service to all of our clients.  This includes Personal Protection, Pre and Post Retirement Planning Advice, Savings and Investments on the Financial Planning side, together with completion of Tax Returns and Repayment Claims, Accounts, PAYE administration, Estate Planning and Trust work on the taxation side.  The two sides of the business complement each other. 

If you wish to contact us about any matters relating to your financial or taxation affairs, we would be pleased to hear from you.  Our first meeting, during which your concerns can be discussed, is absolutely free.  Any costs going forward would be agreed with you in full before any further and more detailed work is undertaken.  There is definitely no commitment on your behalf for you to become a client at that first meeting.

  • Understanding – We help our clients in the decision making process. We understand that this can be daunting and sometimes confusing and we try to make everything as straightforward as possible. We will produce uncomplicated plans and proposals based on your needs in order that you, as our client, are confident of the strategy so that you can make the right decisions for yourself. 
  • Diligent – Collating all the details needed to provide an ‘all encompassing’ service by crossing the ‘t’s’ and dotting the ‘i’s’. We work towards your goals as quickly and efficiently as possible and leave nothing to ‘chance’. We will always review your tax situation and your investments and follow them up to make sure they are still as applicable to you in the future as they were when they were initially made. 
  • Integrity – We make sure everything is done solely for the benefit of our clients.

Paper tax returns must be filed by 31st October 2011 if you want HMRC to collect any unpaid tax .

For self assessment tax returns filed on-line the filing deadline is 31 January 2012.
